The course will provide registrants with the knowledge to respond to emergencies in the home, community or workplace. A variety of topics are covered: how to access the EMS system; recognize and respond to airway, breathing and cardiovascular emergencies; bone, muscle, joint, head and spinal injuries; bleeding and shock; first aid for poisonings; environmental emergencies; and CPR/AED.
Blended Learning: Combines online learning and in-person skills session. Candidates must have a valid email address to register. This comprehensive 8 hour course is comprised of a 4 hour online study session and 4 hours in class skills evaluation session. The online portion of this program must be completed before the in-class portion. Upon completion of the online portion of the course, please print and bring a copy of your certification of completion to the in-class portion to submit to your instructor.
Pre-requisite: Current Standard FA/CPR. Must not be expired. If expired, please register for full course.
*Emergency First Aid is Not an accepted Prerequisite
Awards are issued to the candidate electronically through email. Certification of this award is for 3 years.

Online content must be completed prior to the first in class day.
The following items must be purchased in order to participate
• 1 CPR pocket mask with a 1-way valve
• 6 pairs of latex-free gloves
• 2 roller gauzes
• 5 triangular bandages
• 10 gauze pads
• 1 golf pencil
• 1 silver mylar blanket.
You may choose to purchase a leadership kit ($37.96) containing these supplies at this facility or alternatively, you may purchase them on your own.
100 % attendance and participation are required.
