Ceili ("Kay-lee") dance is a type of folk dance that originated in Ireland. Ceilis are family-oriented Irish social dances that are usually performed by 2 to 16 people. In this class students will get to experience a little bit of Irish culture as they learn a traditional Ceili dance known as "An Rince Mor" or "Big Dance." Dancers who are new to Irish dance will learn two basic Irish steps ("3's and 7's") and will dance with partners making a circle formation. This simple Ceili dance is good for any dance level. Prerequisites: Intro to Theater- 1 & Intro to Theater- 2 Instructor: Zoe Stewart, Ayriana Stewart & Isabelle Stewart
