Join us for a private docent tour of The Crafted World of Wharton Esherick at the Brandywine Museum of Art. Following the tour, we will enjoy lunch in the Millstone Café. Additional time will be available to view Up East: Andrew Wyeth in Maine and some of the permanent galleries.
This exhibition explores the interdisciplinary creativity of Wharton Esherick (1887-1970), the famed American artist best known as the father of the Studio Furniture Movement.
In addition, Up East: Andrew Wyeth in Maine will explore “Andrew Wyeth’s unique place- based practice rigorously focused on just two narrowly circumscribed regions across a long and productive career”.
9:00 am Carpool from Wayne Art Center, otherwise drive independently and meet us at Brandywine Museum of Art. If you would like to carpool, you must reserve a spot prior to January 8th.
