Description
We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Wednesday, November 13, 2024.
Celebrate our Veterans and their service to our Country. Tour the USS Midway--the longest-serving aircraft carrier in the 20th century. Named after the climactic June 1942 Battle of Midway, the ship was built in only 17 months but missed WWII by one week when it was commissioned on September 10, 1945! Midway was the first in a three-ship class of large carriers that featured an armored flight deck and a powerful air group of 120 planes. Explore the various decks and hidden areas of this iconic warship. After your tour, enjoy lunch at the iconic Claim Jumper--you will not return home hungry!
Come to the Launch Party on Wednesday, September 18, at 3:00 p.m. to register. On-Line Registration opens on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.
