What: GonnawannaBOWLagin’ GonnawannaBOWLagin' is a peer handicap-bowling league that takes place in the fall and winter and is designed for students with ASD 8 or older who want to be part of a team. This is an actual league and players will receive their handicap after averaging their first 2 games. It is important to try and be there every week as your teammates will be there waiting for you! Who: Volunteers must be 10 or older Volunteers will follow/model directions/activities and actively engage with participants with autism. Volunteers ages 10-12 can volunteer IF an adult (responsible party) remains on campus and responsible for the volunteers registered. Training is not required, but volunteers are expected to behave in a mature and responsible manner. Volunteers need not to be proficient in the sport. A volunteer's primary purpose is social engagement and positive peer modeling. Where: Pinboys At the Beach 1577 Laskin Rd Suite 100 Virginia Beach, VA 23451 When: Sunday's September 8- November 17, 2024 from 3:00-5:00pm. 5:00 is a hard stop time. The end time will be determined by the speed of the bowlers on their individual lane.
