Students will participate in the audition, rehearsal and performance process of a theatrical production. They will work collaboratively on the performance and technical aspects that are part of a theatrical production, including properties, costumes, light and sound. Students will also learn how to read music, follow a libretto, work on memorizing songs and lines, and will learn and memorize dance choreography. Students that are part of the technical crew will learn how to run a light board, a sound board, and work with microphones. Though this is an elementary school production, I teach students the expectations and language for professional theatre work and they will learn to be responsible members of the cast and crew by attending rehearsals and learning their roles to the best of their ability. This is an opportunity for students to participate in a theatrical production at their own school and discover the joys of live theater. Los estudiantes participarán en el proceso de audición, ensayo y representación de una producción teatral. Trabajarán en colaboración en los aspectos técnicos y de interpretación que forman parte de una producción teatral, incluidas las propiedades, el vestuario, la luz y el sonido.
