El Rio Preserve 10190 N. Coachline Blvd Tucson, AZ 85743 Organized by Marana Parks and RecreationAbout this event
Description
El Rio Preserve along the Santa Cruz River provides excellent habitat for birds and other wildlife. While the rise in temperatures signals the end of spring migration, our resident birds stick around and continue breeding through the warmer months. Join Pima County Conservation Lands and Resources birding expert Jeff Babson to look for birds that enjoy the heat, such as Lucy's Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Bells's Vireo, and Summer Tanager. Remember to bring a water bottle and sun protection, and to wear a hat and comfortable shoes.
Designed for ages 12 and up.
For your safety and comfort:
- Wear closed-toe shoes
- Bring water & snacks
- Consider sun protection
- Don't forget your binoculars!
- No pets please (Service dogs are OK)
