Norte Youth Cycling offers Adventure Bike Camp (ABC) as an opportunity for children to get outside after school and explore their community on bikes. ABC focuses on teaching bike safety skills for community cruising while leading kids to parks, playgrounds, natural areas, and more. Ultimately, ABC aims to develop confident, safe, community-focused cyclists. The Slabtown Neighborhood location was added to accommodate the schedules of nearby schools such as Willow Hill, Immaculate Conception, TCAPS Montessori, Trinity Lutheran, Long Lake, Children's House, and more! Common routes for children who join an ABC team from the Slabtown Neighborhood location include routes and stops such as: -Leelanau Trail -Discovery Pier -Cherry Bend Park -Grand Traverse Commons -Hickory Meadows …and more! Children should be comfortable riding at least 5 miles using a pedal bike with two wheels. This year, ABC teams will be broken up by grade for more intentionally programming that aligns with the developmental skills and interests of the participants. Please select the team according to your child’s grade level. In the event there is a wait list, additionally teams will be formed should the wait list consist of enough children to make another team.
