Jr. DEEP Saturdays is a dynamic crash course program designed to spark young minds' curiosity in the captivating worlds of science, technology, and engineering. Tailored specifically for the fall season, this program aims to offer an immersive and interactive learning experience for students in grades 3 through 8. Get ready to dive into a realm of hands-on workshops, engaging activities, and unforgettable discoveries that will shape your understanding of these fields in remarkable ways. Round 1 of this program spans across three Saturdays: January 25, 2025, February 1, 2025, and February 8, 2025. Each Saturday, participants will engage in a hands-on workshop scaled and tailored to their respective grade level. Workshop themes: Circuit Masters Become an electric whiz by building a buzzing maze that tests your hand-eye coordination! Learn about open and closed circuits, conductors, and insulators while crafting a game that lights up and buzzes with your creative touch. Hydraulic Heroes Dive into the fascinating world of hydraulics as you build your own fluid-powered machine. Explore how pressure, force, and mechanical systems work together to create amazing mechanisms. Test your creation and marvel at the power of water in action! Dynamic Movers Build motors, vehicles, and even balloon-powered cars in this exploration of motion and energy. Experiment with electromagnetism, air pressure, and thrust to make your creations zoom, spin, and soar. Get ready to push the boundaries of what your designs can do!
