Description
Age 18+ Wednesday Volley Leagues
Team Registration is closed. Players may still register for enrolled teams.
Divisions: Coed Competitive, Coed Rec A, Coed Rec B, and Women's Competitive Women's Rec A, Women's Rec B.
ALL Teams must have a minimum of 6 players enrolled and paid on their roster by the day after team registration closes. Any teams with less than 6 players will be withdrawn and each player will be refunded minus a $5.00 withdrawal fee. There are no exceptions.
League games take place after 6pm for weekday leagues and 5pm for weekend leagues.
Due to limited facility space, we will run both women's and mixed coed divisions on the same night. Players will only be able to play coed or women's, not both.
No new team registrations or free agents will be accepted after 8/25 for the Fall '24 season. Individuals will be able to register for existing teams throughout the season. Fall season is 7 games.
A welcome email is sent out from TeamSideline to all enrolled players at least 1 week prior to the first week of the season. Please check your spam folders!
Specific rules, schedules and more can be found here.
See the FAQ in the Notes section on this page for important league information.
Registration Steps
Team Captains:
Register your team by clicking the “Create a New Team” button and following the instructions. Once you have registered your team, your players will be able to register for the team as players. You can invite players directly to your team and see who has registered/paid by checking your “My Account” page in Activenet.
Players Invited to a Team:
You will be able to join your team only after the captain has registered the team in our system. Join your team by clicking the “Team Registration” button and then the “Join an Existing Team” button and following the instructions. Please remember, you can only play on one team, per sport, per season unless otherwise specified in the program description.
Players without Teams (Free Agents):
Free agents can register for the league they are interested in by clicking the “Team Registration” button and then selecting the team “Free Agent”.
If we have enough free agents we will form a team or multiple teams.
If we don’t have enough free agents for a team, we will place free agents on teams who have identified themselves as willing to add free agents.
If we are unable to form/find a team we will issue a full refund prior to the first game of the season.
Players Subbing for a Single Game:
Single-game subs can register for individual games either online or in person by registering for the “Adult Sports League Single Game Substitute” activity. You will need to know your team captain’s name, team name, and the date of the game. You will need to register and pay the associated fee for each game/match you sub.
Sponsored Teams
If your team has a sponsor paying for registration, please call the athletics team at (458)201-0737 to get your team registered in a league.
FAQ
Q. Can I play on multiple teams in the same sport?
A. You can only play on one team, per sport, per season (even on different nights) unless otherwise specified in the program description.
Players may play on both a mixed/coed team and a men’s/women’s team during the same season if they are offered on different nights.
When an “Open” division is available, a Player may play in an "Open" division in a sport and on one other team in a standard division offered on a DIFFERENT night. Open Divisions will be clearly labeled and offered on a limited basis.
Q. Why can’t I play on multiple teams in the same sport if they are on different nights?
A. We do our best to keep each division unique and as appropriately skilled as possible.
In our experience, when players bounce between divisions/teams each season, each division ends up feeling the same and teams become frustrated by playing against the same players regardless of what division/night they play. We occasionally offer “Open” divisions to accommodate players looking to play on multiple nights.
Q. What is the difference between Rec B, Rec A and Competitive skill divisions?
A.Rec B- Beginner (Little or very casual experience)
Rec A- Intermediate (Some experience playing recreationally or lower level High School)
Rec- Typically a combination of Rec B/A skills
Competitive - Past or current experience playing competitively (Varsity/College)
Open- These Skill levels vary from season to season.
Q. What is the difference between "mixed" and "coed rules" divisions?
A. Mixed: Mixed-gender leagues with no specific coed rulesets.
Mixed with Coed Rules: Mixed-gender leagues that have specific gender-based rules
Q. My plan/schedule has changed, can I have a refund?:
A. No refund will be issued for teams or players who withdraw at any point after the designated "team registration" deadline which usually occurs 2-3 weeks before the first game of the season.
A $5.00 charge will be issued to any refunds happening prior to this date.
If a refund is issued due to cancellation of the program, no $5.00 withdrawal charge will be required.
No refunds are issued for forfeits, no-shows, injuries, or suspensions.
Q. Does the league provide Jerseys and/or Balls?
A.We offer game balls for all leagues unless otherwise specified (teams may decide to use their balls if both teams agree).
We don't offer jerseys but they are required for Basketball, Softball and Soccer Leagues. Bulk and Individual Jerseys can be purchased online or from local retailers. Numbered Jerseys are required for basketball, soccer and softball.
For Free Agents: It is recommended that you purchase a black and white reversible jersey/shirt before the start of the season.
