AR-15 RANGE PRACTICE This Class Offers Outdoor Range Practice and Technique Drills for AR-15 Owners. Required: Certificate of successful completion of the AR-15 Basic Civilian Training Class (see above). *Minimum of five (5) participants needed with a maximum of twelve (12). What You Will Learn Students will receive a short review of range safety measures in a climate controlled classroom before leaving for the range. The remaining three and one-half (3.5) hours will be spent at our outdoor, well-lit, outdoor range with restrooms conveniently onsite. Certified firearm instructors will work individually and in groups with students to refine techniques and to increase proficiency for self-defense purposes. Close quarter small range targets set at various distances, up to 25 yards, are used. Students will perform various practice tactical drills to improve marksmanship on an outdoor firing range including: Firing for sight alignment; Firing for distance estimation; and Shooting in and around obstacles for accurate shot placement. AR-15 sighting accessories, such as scopes and red dots, do not need to be removed for this class. What You Should Bring Students should bring their own AR-15 that is in good working order. Student must bring a minimum of 80 rounds of only factory ammunition. We will provide the hearing and eye protection if you do not own your own. Students should wear loose fitting clothing with a shirt that buttons up to the neck or that has a high neckline (no open collars allowed on the range for safety). Student must bring visor or a bibbed hat (baseball type hat). Student must wear good comfortable shoes. Students may also want to bring drinking water, personal sun block, bug repellent, and rain attire.
