This is an 5-6 hour course designed for shooters wanting to learn combat shotgun skills and how to fight and defend yourself with a shotgun. We do not teach target shooting in our defensive weapons courses. This class will focus on training for threat protection with a shotgun. We will discuss types of shotguns, pros and cons to each for personal protection, how they function, shotgun statistics, fears and myths, types of ammunition and their function and patterning of your shotgun. There will be a classroom portion to this course. On the range we will start with the basic fundamentals of stance, grip, sight alignment and trigger press. Dry fire and live fire drills, loading, unloading, malfunction and reload drills, nontraditional shooting positions. Targets will range from paper to steel and a combination of both. One (1) open mind A Fighting shotgun (Bolt, pump, semi auto, magazine fed, double or single barrel. Whatever you intend to defend yourself or home with) 250 rounds of #7 or equivalent 70 rounds of buckshot 50 rounds of slug Eye Protection Ear Protection Magazine pouch recommended but not necessary Raingear (We shoot rain or shine) Hat and sunblock Knee Pads (Optional) Water Course cost $250.00 We do NOT give refunds but we will allow you to reschedule.
