This course is designed to build on skills learned in the Introduction course. Industrial first responders are expected to respond to a variety of incidents and make decisions quickly. By the end of this course the participants will be more comfortable with the tools and equipment used in these types of incidents, as well as determining when and how to utilize them. Focus will be on strategy and tactics, while reinforcing the offensive vs defensive types of attacks. Participants will be involved in scenarios involving propane, natural gas, and diesel/gasoline fires. Understanding the differences in these types of fires, quickly determining a strategy for fire control, and mitigating any potential for fire spread will be important takeaways.
