Description
The La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles offer a fascinating glimpse into prehistoric life. This iconic site is home to natural asphalt pits that have preserved the remains of Ice Age animals for over 50,000 years. We will explore the outdoor bubbling tar pits, watch paleontologists in action at the Fossil Lab and marvel at the skeletons of mammoths, saber-toothed cats and dire wolves. After watching the 3-D film “Titans of the Ice Age” you will be free to enjoy lunch at one of the nearby eateries or explore your way around the Museum. An Excavator Tour will be available for those who wish to join at no extra cost.
