WHO IS THE COURSE FOR A Chief Range Safety Officer (CRSO) candidate must be an NRA Certified RSO and have attended Basic Instructor Training within two years before attending CRSO Training.
PREREQUISITES: Basic Instructor Training within two (2) years and Range Safety Officer. --NRA Chief Range Safety Officer Candidates shall complete ALL three items: 1: The Instructor Led Training (ILT) or Online training for Range Safety Officer. This is listed as Range Safety Officer in the P³TC Course Catalog. 2: Basic Instructor Training (BIT) (Part 1), Completed within the past two years. 3: The CRSO discipline (Part 2)*(This course) The successful completion of this course will allow individuals to educate, train, and certify NRA Range Safety Officers (RSO’s) and write Firing Range Standard Operating Procedures.
