Learn the techniques of Japanese gardening and bonsai with a focus on care and maintenance, learning all the basics of bonsai design. Select a tree, learn how to prune, transplant, landscape with rocks, and discover what the art of bonsai is all about as you create your very own bonsai to enjoy at home.
6 week class: Week 1 - Introduction and directional guidanceWeek 2 - Concept and techniqueWeek 3 - Japanese landscaping and cultureWeek 4 - Preparation and visionWeek 5 - Practice and evaluationWeek 6 - Practice and summary
Cost of the class is $15, however the instructor will give you a list of materials needed that could be anywhere from $40-$100 depending on size of pot etc. you choose that can be purchased from Lowes, Walmart, Amazon, etc.
