Description
Theatre, poetry, brush clearing, song, riffle building, storytelling, dance, kite flying, and tree planting: what do all these have in common? You guessed it; they were all part of the Weekend of Restoration. This is a review of a long-running, innovative program that combined conservation work with learning, fun, and a sometimes deliberate and sometimes accidental dose of inspiration. If you were a part of the program, you can learn about what was going on behind the scenes. If you were not part of the program, you can watch, listen, and participate as we discuss one attempt at reshaping the nexus of conservation and community.
Once you've signed up, we'll send you a virtual meeting invitation with instructions on how to join the webinar. If you're not able to make it, we'll be recording these webinars so you can view them afterwards on our @DiscoverMCCD YouTube channel under the Tom Talks playlist.
These are free and open to anyone.
Please contact Jackie Bero at jbero@mccdistrict.org or (815) 219-1549 if you have any questions or recommendations for future Tom Talks topics.
