H.I.T.T is a challenging, comprehensive, effective and fun total body workout and we are so PUMPED to bring this new class to those looking to burn fat, sculpt lean muscle, strengthen the core and increase energy and endurance. H.I.T.T. stands for high-intensity interval training, and is a training technique in which you give all-out, 100% effort through quick 20 second, intense bursts of exercise, followed by a short 10 seconds of recovery periods. This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up, and burns more fat in less time with lower impact. The best part, the workout is easily scalable to your fitness level and low impact. Make sure to come to class well hydrated, nourished, and ready to work! The H.I.T.T. class will consist of a five-minute warm-up followed by six rounds of work (eight cycles of 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest) with one minute of rest between each round, and then a 10-minute cool-down. During the 20 seconds of intense work, participants perform as many repetitions as possible of each exercise. Bring a mat with you. Classes are held on MONDAY nights, beginning October 21, 2024 from 5:30 PM - 6:15 PM for 5 weeks at the Prince George Community Center (11100 Old Stage Road Prince George, VA 23875). The last class of this session is November 25, 2024. Registration is available until October 21, 2024 (unless filled). Cost is $25 per participant. There is NO Class on October 14 (Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples' Holiday) AND November 11 (Veterans' Day Holiday). CLASS IS LIMITED TO 25 PARTICIPANTS ONLY.
