Instructor: Ms. Emma 1.5 hour class! Small class of 10 students max. This is for fall session only. If you're interested in the school-year long version of this class at a discount, please go back and select another option. Start your clay journey! In this course you'll get your hands into clay, learn where clay comes from, stages of clay, the full ceramic process, and the many ways to use it. Learn handbuilding basics such as pinch pots, coiling, slab work, connecting handles/lids and make clay creations as you go through the program. This course leads you in to a solid understanding and experience in clay so you'll be well-prepared for moving into a wheel class! This is an ongoing class that may be repeated, and prepares students for continuing study to the next level of ceramics when readiness is demonstrated. Make new creative works each time you take this course! Ages 15 - Adults. Clay, glazing and firing cost covered for in-class projects. Payment plans available. Financial assistance available for qualifying students.
