Instructor: Ms. Emma 1.5 hour class! Small class of 12 students max. This is for fall session only: October - December. If you're looking for a school-year long class, please go back and see the other options. Let's throw! In this Intro to Wheel course, students will learn where clay comes from, stages of clay, and the full ceramic process from squishy to glazed! Learn pottery wheel safety and basics, practice centering and work on making functional creations as you strengthen your hands and hone your skills. This is an ongoing class that may be repeated, and prepares students for continuing study to the next level of ceramics when readiness is demonstrated. Grades 9-12th grade or by Instructor's permission. Clay, glazing and firing cost covered for in-class projects. Payment plans available. Financial assistance available for qualifying students.
