The High School Keelboat team with be for sailors attempting to qualify for the high school Keelboat Championships on Oct 19-20th. This regatta will be sailed in J80, but we will be practicing aboard our Santa Cruz 27, Malolo. This is going to be a small team with a minimum of 4 sailors and a max of 5, so space is limited this year. Preference will be given to sailors who are on the high school sailing team, that have attended keelboat camps, and/or that have other keelboat experience (particularly racing). The main focus will be on around the buoy racing and performance sailing. We will spend about 50% of our time on spinnaker work. This is a mixed team, meaning we need to have at least one girl on the team, awesome!
