Current students and alumni will join the Genesis staff to present James and the Giant Peach: The Musical, directed by Megan Demsky and Meg Sullivan. This production brings together the entire staff and student body to stage the epic tale of James’ magical adventure inside a giant peach. With music by Pasek and Paul, the duo behind Dear Evan Hansen and The Greatest Showman, the show combines heartwarming lessons of family and friendship with whimsical characters and catchy songs. Rehearsals will be staggered, meaning students will only rehearse when they are called, and rehearsals will be limited. This process goes very quickly! AUDITIONS There will be no auditions fo this show. Students will be cast by the creative team once you submit your conflict form in the google classroom. The Cast List will not be released until conflicts are provided. REHEARSALS Rehearsals will be "staggered call." This means you will only come to rehearsal for the time slot you are needed to block your scene/song. Not every student will be called to every rehearsal. Some groups may only be called for a few hours on certain days. Listed below are all the POSSIBLE rehearsals. Full schedule with staggered calls to be released after casting and conflict submissions are finalized. Friday, 11/1 (5:30 PM–9:30 PM), Wednesday, 11/6 (5:30 PM–9:30 PM), Friday, 11/8 (5:30 PM–9:30 PM), Wednesday, 11/13 (5:30 PM–9:30 PM), Friday, 11/15 (5:30 PM–9:30 PM), Wednesday, 11/20 (5:30 PM–9:30 PM), Friday, 11/22 (5:30 PM–9:30 PM), Monday, 11/25- Thanksgiving break (10 AM-3 PM) ,Tuesday, 11/26-Thanksgiving break (10 AM-3 PM) ,Wednesday, 12/4 (5:30 PM–9:30 PM), Friday, 12/6 (5:30 PM–9:30 PM) SET BUILD TBD TECH WEEK Monday, December 9th through Wednesday, December 11th from 5:30-8:30 PM. All students are required to attend each day. PERFORMANCES THURSDAY: December 12th @ 7 pm FRIDAY: December 13th @ 7pm SATURDAY: December 14th @ 2pm & 7pm SUNDAY: December 15th @ 3pm | Strike after the Sunday show
