SYNOPSIS: Master showman Harold Hill is in town and he’s got “seventy-six trombones” in tow. Can upright, uptight Marian, the town librarian, resist his powerful allure? The story follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he vows to organize. The catch? He doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, whose belief in Harold’s power just might help him succeed in the end in spite of himself. AUDITIONS: Sunday, February 9th from 1PM-4PM Material: Full Audition Packets will be posted on your Google Classroom. Students will sing a selection from the show and should be ready to perform sides at the audition. Submit your audition form, headshot, and resume on your Google Classroom. REHEARSALS: Every Tuesday, 5:00 pm-8:00 pm, February 11-March 25. Required Additional Rehearsals: Saturday, March 1st, 10am-1pm. SET BUILD Saturday, March 29th from 10 am-1 pm. This may also be used for additional rehearsal time. All students and one parent per actor are required to attend. TECH WEEK: Monday-Thursday, March 31-April 3, 5PM-8PM PERFORMANCES FRIDAY: April 4th @ 7 pm SATURDAY: April 5th @ 7 pm SUNDAY: April 6th @ 3pm FRIDAY: April 11th @ 7 pm SATURDAY: April 12th @ 2 pm & 7 pm SUNDAY: April 13th @ 3pm (Love Notes @ 12:30p) | Strike after the Sunday show ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Genesis provides costumes—supplemental items & shoes from your wardrobe. Students are required to be present at all rehearsals and shows. Please do not schedule any appointments or events for your student during this rehearsal period. Please send a snack, a personal water bottle, and a pencil each day to rehearsal. Please help your student at home to memorize their lines. Tickets will be available for purchase online.
