Have you ever wanted to reach the furthest parts of the ocean? Join us to take a deep dive below the surface where the light begins to dwindle. While students spend Thursday exploring beyond the Earth’s boundaries, on Friday they will learn about sea creatures, formations, and conditions that exist over one thousand meters below, the majority of which is still undiscovered. In the morning, a special guest from the Academy of Natural Sciences will visit to speak about aquatic animals and their importance on the surface and in the deep sea. The day will be filled with ocean inspired art projects, games, and challenges. Come dive in to catch a glimpse into the deepest parts of the water. Programs run from 9:00am - 3:00pm, with drop-off available between 8:00 - 9:00am and prompt pick-up between 3:00 - 4:00pm. Drop-off & pick-up will take place at the front desk of the Lombard campus. There is a scheduled snack break and lunch time for all students. Each student must bring a packed lunch (with a drink) from home.
