About this event
In this engaging Commercial Acting program, students will learn how to be an on-camera spokesperson. This is designed for those who want to experience how to bring out the best in themselves when acting on camera. Students will read commercial copy for brands in a solo commercial and with a scene partner. We will discuss the benefits of a PSA (Public Service Announcement) and film it as a group. The kids will gain many tips and techniques including memorization, terminology, product placement, marketing behind the commercial, energy level depending on the brand, and more. We will also include a teleprompter reading class, which would be helpful with public speaking and presenting any last-minute speech or announcement. Students will leave feeling more confident and inspired by what they learned. VineyardAppCamp strives to teach students critical 21st-century skills through real world projects under the guidance of experienced teachers. By launching their apps, participants immediately see the impact on their community and achieve transformational outcomes they can be proud of.
