About this event
Embark on a summer of innovation with the Open Makerspace! Campers will engage in hands-on design, construction, and artistic projects in this interdisciplinary, multi-age collaborative program. Together participants will explore various tools and materials to bring their creative visions to life. Highlights include iterative design explorations with recycled materials, shoebox interior design challenges, exploring practical engineering concepts, and mastering hot glue techniques. Inspired by a diverse range of artists, designers, and architects, students will nurture their creativity and develop their problem-solving skills in a safe and inspiring environment Francesco has a Master’s in Fine Art and has been a makerspace teacher at the Shady Hill School in Cambridge, MA for the last six years, before recently moving to the Philadelphia area. Francesco is committed to fostering an environment of optimistic lifelong learning and courageous exploration. His expertise in managing diverse shop environments also ensures a safe, productive, and inspiring space for every young creator to flourish.
