Description
Gather around a campfire at one of your favorite parks this fall for a series of engaging and informative chats. Each week Park Rangers and local experts will lead discussions on a different theme, exploring topics about conservation, history, culture, music, and more. Bring a portable camp chair and share s’mores and stories by the fire, or sit back, relax, and enjoy the evening.
This week: Ever wondered what it’s like to spend your days crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay? Join us for a captivating evening campfire hosted by seasoned waterman and Captain of the F/V Miss Paula, CJ Canby. Gain insight into the daily challenges, the relentless hard work, and the passion required to make a living on these historic waters. Balancing tradition, survival, and conservation, CJ will share how he navigates life on the Bay.
