Instructor: Kathleen King GIA Graduate GemologistExplore the many different kinds of colored gemstones, both common and unusual, their characteristics, imitations and synthetics. Get tips on how and where to buy with confidence. The final class will be an opportunity for participants to bring one of their own gemstones for identification.

Part II is a seven-week lecture series on gemstones not featured in Part I. Explore diamonds, pearls, amber, coral and jade, their characteristics, imitations and synthetics. Get tips on how and where to buy with confidence. The final class will be an opportunity for participants to bring one of their own gemstones for identification.
