Living in Reciprocal Relationship with Earth. In the popular book Braiding Sweetgrass (2.5 years on the best sellers list.) Indigenous author Robin Wells Kimmerer invites us to live in reciprocal relationship with Earth. How do we do that? This class is NOT a book group but you will benefit if you have read the book. We will be working with themes from the book: reciprocity, kinship with living beings, gratitude, knowing our local eco system, examining colonialism’s legacy, the significance of Trees, and the power of storytelling. This will be done through discussion, videos, and experiential approaches. Instructor: Lynn Fitz-Hugh, Thurston Friends of Trees
