Explore the natural beauty of the Ventura River Preserve on this easy 2.5-mile combination loop/out-and-back at the Old Baldwin Rd Trailhead. Ideal for hikers of all levels, this trail offers a peaceful journey through open landscapes with views of the surrounding hills. Along the way, you may encounter native wildlife, making this hike perfect for nature enthusiasts.

These hikes are designed to accommodate a variety of fitness levels, making it easy to explore the beauty of our surroundings while engaging with the natural world. Each hike will begin and end at the Ojai Recreation Department Front Lawn, where we’ll meet before shuttling in city vans to the trailheads. After our hike, we’ll enjoy a sweet dessert together (not included in fee), allowing time to share experiences and connect with fellow hikers. What to Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, Water bottle, Sunscreen and hat, Sunglasses, Light snack (if needed) Optional: Walking poles for stability, Binoculars for wildlife viewing (optional but recommended)
