We're sorry, but this program is over. The last meeting was Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
Step back into 1848 with period-clothed, “salty” boat crew and friendly mule guiding you along the historic Illinois & Michigan Canal for an hour-long ride from Lock 14 to the Little Vermillion Aqueduct and back. Then enjoy a hearty Captain’s lunch in the visitor center which is housed in a historic building and features additional information and exhibits about the I&M Canal. Lunch will be tomato bisque, baked Tuscan chicken, rice, quinoa & kale, brownies and water, coffee, or iced tea. The fee includes transportation in a comfortable coach bus, tour and lunch..
