Work with longtime Actor Factory instructor Alissa Branch In Alissa's words, "We explore FAST ways to make grounded acting decisions about text and achieve the illusion of spontaneous character thought. We also talk about tips and tricks for relaxing into material the actor hasn’t had time to fully get into their brains and bodies, so that cold reading can be a fun opportunity for surprises and happy accidents!" Participants will be handed scripts and given a short time to prepare the material. In the real world, a cold read could be anywhere from 10-30 minutes of prep. This will be a great exercises in making bold and creative choices on your feet. She says actors will be up and performing at least 4 times during the day. "They will be preparing on-the-fly in the room, using exercises and techniques designed to get the best results with the least amount of prep time." Cost for the day is only $150
