Description
SPANISH FOR HERITAGE SPEAKER / ESPAÑOL PARA HISPANOHABLANTES
The aim of the Spanish Course for Heritage Speakers is to teach those Spanish speakers who either were born in the United States or came to live to the U.S. in the early years of their lives and learnt the language at home from their parents and relatives, and have not studied Spanish in depth, for which reason they lack the grammar foundation required to feel confident in the language. The course will be centered in grammar, reading, writing, and oral practice, brushing up all language skills they need in the language. Video materials and films will also be used to enhance listening comprehension in Spanish and the acquisition of vocabulary and language expresions in various topic matters. Students will also be introduced into the vast Hispanic literature, so that they will feel motivated to continue learning from it.
