One of the world’s most popular trading card games, Pokémon, comes to Speyer this fall! In this afterschool, students will learn about strategy, mathematics, and more as they build “decks” filled with fantastic creatures and intricate strategies alike. Classes will learn the Pokémon TCG rules, how to understand the complex strategies and combinations of thousands of different cards, and how to individually construct a 60+ card deck of cards that they will compete against others with. Pokémon TCG is a deep and strategic game, and each match requires planning, lateral thinking, and a competitive spirit. Students will be encouraged to experiment with different ideas and strategies, while enjoying friendly competition and meeting new friends. It’s time to put your Pokémon card collection to use, and climb to the top of the ranks as a master Pokémon trainer! From newcomers to experts, all are welcome and will be accommodated. While it is recommended to come with cards, there will also be cards provided in-class.
