What You’ll Learn: ● Introduction to Cyanotype: Understand the history and chemistry behind this captivating process, invented in the 19th century by Sir John Herschel. ● Materials and Preparation: Learn about the essential materials, including light-sensitive chemicals, paper, and various objects you can use to create your designs. ● Creating Your Artwork: Dive into the creative process as you coat paper with cyanotype solution, arrange natural materials, and create your own unique compositions. ● Exposure Techniques: Discover how to expose your prints to sunlight and experiment with different exposure times to achieve various shades of blue. ● Washing and Finishing: Examine techniques used for rinsing and finishing your prints, and learn how to preserve your artwork.
