Providing support, guidance and resources for attendees who may be helping older adults transition thru the difficult stages of aging. The class participants will have an opportunity to learn from a Medical College of WI Geriatrician, who will review the states of aging and how to recognize which stage your loved one is in. Attendees will learn how a family caregiver can proactively prepare for each stage to create a supportive environment, while still taking care of themselves. Participants will also be provided with a list of free local community resources related to living, financial, clinical and other situations often encountered with caregiving.
