We are excited to start a new year of our Findlay area On Target Archery Team! This will be for students who are 8 - 18 years of age who have their own compound bow (these should include sights and rest and need to be capable of shooting 10-20 yards accurately). Practices will be held one night a week (Thursdays) starting November 5 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Additional practice times will be available during the week if participants want to shoot more. Practices will include coaching in form and technique as well as skill development in adjusting sights, tuning bows, fletching arrows, etc. We will also break every evening for a 15 minute Bible Study / Devotional thought of the day. We will plan to participate in the Ohio Archers Association tournaments being held in January - April as well as a couple of National Field Archery Association tournaments. Several of these are considered “mail in” tournaments so while we will be competing with kids from all over the state, we can shoot these tournaments at our range in Findlay. There will be a few tournaments that will require travel, but every tournament is optional based on your family schedule. The cost is $250 per participant and this will include a team shirt and unlimited number of targets to be used during practice.
