Leader: Marney Bruce Location: Carderock Recreation Area, MD What can trees tell us about soil, rocks, and water? Trees have preferences for where they grow, and learning to read their habitats can unlock an encyclopedia of natural history information about the area’s geology, hydrology, soil, and more. Over the course of the walk, leader Marney Bruce will show participants how to unpack meaning from the trees growing around them.
