Description
Los Morteros represents thousands of years of human history set amidst a picturesque natural environment. Join a Pima County Conservation Lands and Resources naturalist for a walking tour to explore aspects of American history, Spanish Colonial history, and Native American history, all interlaced with the natural history of the Santa Cruz River as well as two National Historic Trails.
For your safety and comfort:*Wear suitable hiking shoes or boots.*Bring a snack!*Carry a minimum of 2 liters of water per person.*Consider sun protection.*Bring a walking stick if you desire.*Bring binoculars.
Important Notes:*There are no restrooms or water stations on the trail.*Pets are not permitted (Service animals are OK).*Hikers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
