About this event
This class welcomes students to dive into the world of gelli-printing. This method is fun and simple, and a beginner-friendly introduction to printmaking without a press. Students will learn to utilize flexible plates by layering paints/inks and textured materials in their art. Various techniques will be introduced, including drawing directly on the plate, using stencils, printing with natural materials, and printing registration to layer colors. Through these methods, students can explore repetitive printing or creating unique compositions each time. All experience levels are welcome. The printmaking studio utilizes non-toxic materials; all students are asked to review the 2024-25 printmaking studio guidelines provided in a Welcome Email ahead of their first class in the space.
