Oak trees are keystone species that play an outsized role in the environment. They serve as a vital host plant to butterflies and moths, a major food source to wildlife, and a nursery for all kinds of insects. Join a Johnson County Conservation naturalist to learn about the oak trees native to Iowa, how to identify them, and how they support the ecosystems around them.
