Description
We're sorry, but this program / activity is over. The last meeting was Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
Zilling is an integral part of FCBD American Tribal Style® Belly Dance. We'll spend an hour drilling various facets of our zil patterns in order to strengthen the connection between the zilling and the dance moves. Expect some zany drills that'll make your brain fall out of your head (in a good way, of course).Experience with FCBD style dancing is a plus, but anyone can come to this class and learn about percussion and music from the Middle East and North Africa!
Jeana Jorgensen is a certified teacher of Fat Chance Belly Dance, meaning that she has completed the General Skills and Teacher Training workshops and is thus proficient in FCBD Style/ATS. Jeana has been belly dancing since 1998, and she has been practicing ATS since 2002. She directs the troupe Indy Swords & Shimmies (formerly Indy Tribal), the premier ATS troupe in the Indianapolis area, as well as the student troupe Mandali.
