Award winning author and the creator and host of the long-running Something About The Beatles podcast, Robert Rodriguez joins us to share is prominent knowledge on the Beatles!Join us for lunch then hear tons of local history concerning not only the three shows the Beatles played here in Chicago, but also their first US record release (on a Chicago label), first US radio play (on WLS!) and other news they made while passing through our town. Guests will see a visual presentation and there will be time for Q & A after!
Robert (Arthur) Rodriguez is a renowned Beatles scholar based in Chicago. He is the author of several biographies of the group, notably the award-winning Revolver: How The Beatles Re-Imagined Rock and Roll (2012). His writings have also appeared in Beatle fan magazines. Rodriguez is an acclaimed public speaker, presenting programs at universities and libraries. He has also appeared numerous times on Chicago’s WGN and WLS radio, WTTW’s Chicago Tonight, and on Nashville’s From Me To You.
