Instructor: Megan Gill Watercolor Florals Part 2: Explore Loose and Dot Flowers Join us for a 4-week workshop where we dive into the world of loose and dot flowers, color theory, and composition. Whether you're continuing from Part 1 or starting fresh, this class stands alone and welcomes all skill levels. What you'll learn: Loose Flowers: Focus on creating loose flowers with minimal brush strokes, capturing the essence of flowers with ease. Dot Flowers: Master the technique of making flowers with dots, enhancing your brush control and creativity. Color Theory: Explore basic color theory to understand how to use a limited palette effectively. Composition: By the final week, bring all your skills together to create a beautifully composed floral painting. Class Projects: Week 1: Learn how to properly load your paintbrush for different techniques. Week 2: Develop brush skills, including making dots and various brush techniques for petals and leaves. Week 3: Dive into color theory using a limited palette to create vibrant dot flowers. Week 4: Create a final piece that showcases your newfound skills in loose and dot flower techniques and composition. Flower Class Series: This workshop is part of a four-part watercolor series designed to help you become a floral painting pro. Each workshop stands strong on its own, but together, they'll lead you through increasingly advanced techniques and help you build a versatile watercolor skill set. You can join for just this class or take the whole series for the ultimate floral watercolor experience. What to Bring: You'll need a watercolor palette, brushes (#2 and #6), a 140# watercolor sketch pad 9x12 or smaller, water container, paper towels, travel-size spray bottle or water dropper, kneaded eraser, pencil, and a dry-erase board. You can pay a $40 supply fee or bring your own from the supply list.
