Instructor: Lisa Jennings Week 1. Pigmented paper making : Delve into the fascinating world of creating your own pigmented papers, where you'll learn various techniques to create unique papers that you will use in every class of this series. We will cover creating gelli plate printing, mono printing plus batik resist on mulberry paper Week 2 Creating Organic Backgrounds: Dive into the art of crafting textural interesting backgrounds that add depth and intrigue to your work. Discover the secrets behind layering different kinds of paper and thicknesses plus learn blending techniques to create visually stunning backdrops. We will cover the different acrylic mediums used working with mixed media. Week 3. Integrating Subject Matter: Master the art of seamlessly incorporating subjects into your artwork. Discover how to integrate found objects into your artwork for added texture and visual interest. We will learn techniques for applying and painting over found objects, including chunky items. Week 4: Finalizing Mixed Media Masterpieces Review and Refinement: Reflect on techniques learned throughout the course and refine your mixed media compositions. Supply Fee: $30 *can be waived if you want to bring your own supplies. Member Discount: 10%
