Women have a rich history of adorning their bodies with beautiful accessories. From ancient times, people have used sea shells, bone fragments, stones, and animal skins for decoration. This month, we'll create fabulous fabric rope necklaces that celebrate Black History Month, honor Valentine’s Day, or simply add some fashion vibrancy to shake off those winter blues. We’ll enjoy crafting these necklaces as a joyful expression of culture. Everything you need is provided, and no sewing skills are necessary!
Coffee Klatch and Crafts is all about crafts, great conversation, and enjoying a warm beverage while making new friends. We will break the ice with our "Spill the (Coffee) Beans" game and then make some wonderful themed crafts. All the materials you need and step-by-step directions will be provided. Register with friends or come make new ones as you enjoy a morning of laughs and crafts.
Admission is $10 per person. Advanced registration is strongly suggested as space is limited.
Refund Policy: Withdrawal requests received at least 7 days prior to program/event start date are subject to a $10 processing fee. No refunds will be given within 7 days of start of program/event or after program/event has started. Requests must be made in writing to CaseyComm@gaithersburgmd.gov.
