Six In-Person Sessions September 19, 26, October 3, 17, 24, 31 The American Presidency matters, a lot. This course will look closely at what the U. S. Constitution says about it and at how it has evolved and changed over the years. Which presidents have had the greatest impact on the nation, and which are rated the least effective? And who will be elected president for the next four years? Come find out! Bill Coates (Master of Divinity from Southeastern Seminary, PhD, University of South Carolina) has had a life-long interest in theology, philosophy, literature and history – and travel. A pastor for over four decades, he has taught BULLI classes for 25 years. His motto is: "I fear that I will die and have missed something!" He wants to experience all he can while he can. Tony Herdener grew up in the Pacific Northwest spending considerable time in the mountains and nature. After earning an MBA and CPA standing, he spent a 40 year career in healthcare finance, spending the last 23 years of this career as CFO of Northeast Georgia Health System, prior to retirement in 2018. Tony has been and continues to be active in the community, is a member of Rotary and past club President, former Chair of Elachee Nature Science Center Board, serves as Vice Chair and Treasurer of Riverside Prep and also Chairs the Chamber of Commerces Vision 2030 Greenspace Committee. Tony lives in Gainesville, married to Cathy and has two children and four grands. Helping maintain the great quality of life in this community is a priority to him.
