Andy Waterman has worked professionally in the entertainment industry for 50 years. Starting in his hometown of Chicago he played bass and sang on a national McDonalds commercial at age 17. Andy fell in love with being in the studio and later went on to own a successful mid-west recording studio and post production company. At 33 he was invited to relocate to LA to produce an album which turned into 33 years working in Hollywood on network TV shows, movies, commercials and major label records. In 2016 Andy and his wife/business partner moved their business, Umbrella Media, from LA to Nashville. In the fall of 2022 they relocated to Cresswind in Gainesville while keeping the studio and production company running in Nashville. They are using Zoom and other internet devises to keep Umbrella Media evolving into a modern multi-media production company to this day.
