About this event
Our Chinese Learning Program is specifically designed for K-6 students who are eager to develop proficiency in the Chinese language, whether they are beginners or already have some background. This program provides an immersive experience that not only focuses on language acquisition but also fosters a deep understanding of Chinese culture. Students will develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through dynamic lessons that incorporate interactive teaching methods, practical exercises, and cultural storytelling. The program runs 5 days a week, with each session lasting approximately 90 to 120 minutes, starting right after school, ensuring a structured and consistent learning environment. Teaching Materials and Course Design: The program utilizes the renowned *MaLiPing* textbook series, which has been widely adopted by Chinese language schools for heritage learners worldwide. This comprehensive curriculum is designed to support students’ growth across all key areas of language learning. Students in the middle grades will build upon their foundation by learning to read and write short sentences. The curriculum introduces more complex vocabulary, sentence structures, and reading comprehension exercises. They’ll engage in small reading projects and begin to write short paragraphs, while also working on improving their spoken fluency. Interactive discussions, role-play, and conversation practice are emphasized to enhance their listening and speaking abilities.
