The AWLFC Paws and Claws 5K and 1 Mile Walk is an event you won't want to miss!! The route takes you through beautiful and historic Frederick, MD and the best part is that you can take your best friend along with you!
Dogs are welcome along the route and we have lined up some great activities for both of you!! please register by September 1, 2024 to be guaranteed a t-shirt!! (Shirts run small)
Course maps with be available the day of the event.
Bring your family and friends and help US help the animals of Frederick County on Sunday, September 22nd! You'll be glad you did!!!

Last day to register online -Wednesday September 18th at 10:00 PM
Day of a Registration Cost $30. T-shirts are not guaranteed
Race Day Sign-In/Registration: 7:00 AM
5K Starts: 8:00AM
1 Mile Walk right after the 5k has started
VIRTUAL RACE: Still want to participate in the race but can't make it? Register for the Virtual Run or 1mile Walk option. This option allows you to run or walk whenever or wherever you choose in the month of September. Share your Paws + Claws experience by sending us pictures and tagging us on Facebook. The cost of the Virtual Race is $25 and includes a T-Shirt while they last. T-Shirts will be mailed when we receive them.
